Middle school students who have been inducted into FSU Panama City’s chapter of Future Physicist of Florida will get to try on potential careers during the STEM Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at FSU Panama City.
FSU Panama City will host “Fast to the Future,” a speed career exploration event for students, Wednesday, March 8. Fashioned after speed dating, the event will provide students a brief exposure to a variety of career options in nine-minute intervals. Students from any major and all prospective college students are welcome.
Florida State University Panama City will host its Inaugural Transfer Day Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST Friday, Feb. 17, in the FSU Panama City Holley Academic Center. During the event, students will be able to meet faculty, staff and administrators and learn about academic programs, transfer admission requirements, student services and campus activities. Food will be provided throughout the event by our newest on-campus partner and local favorite, Cahall’s Deli.
West Bay and Beach elementary school students will rotate among activities that reinforce Next-Generation Sunshine State Science Standards and pique their curiosity in STEM-related fields during the STEM Institute’s “SURGE: Students Understanding the Research and Groundwork of Experiments” Jan 25, 2017, in the Holley Academic Center.
Florida State University Panama City will host the 27th Annual FSU Panama City Golf Invitational on Friday, March 17, 2017, at Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach. Proceeds from the invitational will benefit the FSU Panama City Campus Enrichment Fund, which is used to support students and the priorities of the campus.
FSU Panama City will compete in the 2016 NIRSA National Flag Football tournament Jan. 6-8, 2017, at Ashton Brosnaham Park in Pensacola. Teams from colleges and universities, such as University of Central Florida, Dixie State University in St. George, Utah, and Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, are scheduled to play in the tournament.
FSU Panama City will honor the fall 2016 graduates, including the first cohort of students from the master’s nurse anesthesia program, during the Dean’s Toast 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, in the Holley Lecture Hall.
In an effort to provide current and continuing FSU Panama City students with plenty of time to meet with their advisor and sign up for spring 2017 classes, we have decided to extend the open registration period for FSU Panama City students/classes through Friday, Dec 23rd at 11pm (CST). Please be sure and register prior to this date to avoid the late registration fee of $100.
