ABA conference to highlight ‘Ethics of Supervision’

ABA director Dr. Jon Bailey will be the keynote speaker during the FSU Applied Behavior Analysis conference March 23-24 at FSU Panama City.

Bailey will present “The Ethics of Supervision” at 5 p.m. March 23 in the Holley Lecture Hall.

Bailey's areas of interest include ethics and professional skills, applied research, developmental disabilities and education. His current research focuses on the diagnostic problem-solving strategies of performance management consultants, treatments for severely emotionally disturbed adolescents, the effects of two active learning strategies on the classroom behavior of children with behavior problems and the effects of non-contingent reinforcement on challenging behaviors in developmentally disabled individuals. He also is involved in multiple projects on the application of performance management procedures to improve productivity in business and organization settings.

FSU Panama City’s two-day conference will conclude Friday, March 24, with an ABA Job Fair from 10 a.m. to noon. A lunch with panel discussion “BCBA Received, Now What?” featuring Dr. Carl Sundberg will be noon to 1 p.m. All events are open to the public. Lunch is free to current FSU students and $15 for the public.

BACB Continuing Education Units will be available through ECABA for $10 per unit. Thursday’s lecture is 1 unit, and Friday’s panel discussion is 1 unit.
