2015 Notable ’Noles continue to serve alma mater

FSU Foundation STEM Liaison Ginger Littleton, FSU Panama City faculty member Amy Polick, Ph.D., and Preble-Rish president Cliff Wilson were named Notable ’Noles on Thursday, Nov. 12. The award is given to FSU Panama City alumni who demonstrated excellence as students and have made outstanding contributions to the community and within their careers.

Crowd Manager Training offered Oct. 28

The FSU Panama City Graduate Certificate in Event Management Program in conjunction with the Florida Festivals and Events Association and the Florida Recreation and Park Association will host Crowd Manager Training 1-5 p.m. Oct. 28 at the FSU Panama City Bayside Auditorium

Habitat for Humanity of Bay County Fundraiser

Florida State University Panama City, Gulf Coast State College and Haney Technical Center are pairing with Habitat for Humanity of Bay County to raise $62,000 to build a house in the spring of 2016.

Introduction to Public Relations students gain hands on experience in developing a non-profit

For FSU Panama City communication and business administration students, dance took them out of the classroom and into the studio. These students gained practical experience in their Introduction to Public Relations class in a recent trip to the Light Energy Dancing studio in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

FSU Panama City partners in WeatherSTEM station

FSU Panama City has partnered with FSU alumnus Edward Mansouri, Master of Science in Meteorology, Class of 2000, to further K-12 curriculum in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with the introduction of the FSU Panama City WeatherSTEM station.

FSU Panama City seeks 2015 Notable ’Noles

Since 1996, FSU Panama City has honored three alumni annually as Notable ’Noles for their excellence and dedication as students, at work and in the community. To nominate an FSU Panama City alumnus, return a completed nomination form by Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Engineering students to present senior design projects

The Electrical and Computer Engineering programs will host senior design projects from 9-11 a.m. July 8 in the Holley Academic Center Lecture Hall. Projects include the completion of the “Bee Safe” bee-hive monitoring system and an update to the Science & Discovery Center's Bubble Bits exhibit.

Volleyball tournament benefits youth camp, student activities

The FSU Panama City Student vs. Faculty vs. Staff vs. Alumni Volleyball Tournament is giving back this year. The campus tradition, which will be 1-4 p.m. July 16, will benefit the Miracle League, the Emerald Coast Rotary and FSU Panama City student activities.
