Family members and friends are also invited to attend. At Convocation, the dean, associate deans, faculty, staff, members of student government and student organizations will welcome new students. The ceremony celebrates the history of Florida State University Panama City’s academic community and calls upon students to make a commitment to live by the values embodied in the torches on the University seal: Vires, Artes, Mores (strength, skill, character).
