I am a junior at Jr. Arnold High School who wants to major in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. I plan to pursue this career at FSU PCB one day. My research topic is to what extent do factors such as brand recognition, nutritional content, and cost influence high school athletes' selection of sports drinks, and is this choice primarily driven by perceived performance benefits and sensory appeal rather than by nutrition information or packaging alone. I am also one of the team captains on the Lady Marlins Basketball team. I am also currently the President of the Student Government Association Class of 2027 at Arnold. Through my academic and sport filled life I have developed time-management skills, leadership qualities, and a strong work ethic.

Currently, there has been a massive increase in products being sold with some type of packaging used to draw the attention of consumers. This increased usage was sparked by the change in needs of packaging in today's market vs packaging's original purpose which is the reason why marketers have had to get creative in their schemes to attract consumers to their brands. These extra packaging were worsened by consumers' transition from in-store transactions to online transactions. Because of this, many businesses who have no extra money to invest in special designs and color schemes have begun to suffer the consequences of this increase in the race of the most attractive and eye-catching packaging.
