With a bachelors in professional communication, Justine Sowell will blaze her own path.
“It was a long ride to get here, but when I graduate, I want to move overseas to teach English,” she said. “When I get back from that, I want to work as a translator.” — Justine Sowell
Justine Sowell, 21, will earn her bachelors in Professional Communication in the Spring of 2024. She followed the path of her older brother to FSU PC, but is now prepared to blaze her own trail.
“It was a long ride to get here, but when I graduate, I want to move overseas to teach English,” she said. “When I get back from that, I want to work as a translator.”
She’s a member of Project Runway (a club for sewing enthusiasts) and the English Club, and she works in the Digital Design Studio, which has resources for students such as peer tutoring, 3D printing, podcasting and much more.
A 2023 student winner of the WISE award (Women Inspiring Success & Excellence), Sowell also volunteers as a dance teacher at the Bobbie Massey School of Dance. Sowell says, “It is important for me to be the best role model that I can be for the kids I teach.”
