Lisa Windgate Best-selling author Lisa Wingate to keynote writers’ workshop

Lisa Wingate, author of the New York Times best-seller “Before We Were Yours,” will share the true story that inspired her novel at FSU Panama City’s Fall Festival of Readers and Writers 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in the Bland Conference Center. The event also will include sessions hosted by novel-to- film writers Corinda Marsh and Robert Cvornyek, and romantic suspense novelist Kathy Holzapfel (Cate Noble).

After a yearlong study with instructors from FSU Panama City’s advanced science dive program, student researchers concluded increased marine tourism is threatening area reef structures. “Preserving our Underwater Pastures: Researching the human impact on local historic artificial reef structures” measured changes in reef sizes and fish populations between July 1, 2016, to July 1, 2017.
