VITAS Healthcare donates $15,000 to FSU PC in support of the university’s efforts to make higher education more accessible to Northwest Florida residents.
Student can save up to 60 percent while creating a professional wardrobe during Seminole Suit-Up 4-7 p.m. Oct. 6 at JCPenney’s location at the former Panama City Mall. Participants also can learn how to look their best at job interviews and internships through free mini makeovers, hair consultations and sample products.
FSU Panama City will host “Fast to the Future,” a career exploration and networking event for students, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
FSU Panama City alumnus Pope Thrower, who is the press attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam, will present “From Panama City to Pakistan (and a few places in between): The importance of adventure and travel for future careers” during a Nole Talk at noon Sept. 29, in Holley B212.
Because of generous donors, about 175 scholarship recipients are able to afford college each year at FSU Panama City. Endowed scholarships are privately funded and recognize superior scholarship, leadership and exemplary character among student recipients who have high financial need.
