🧭 How to Find the Ohana Institute at 30Avenue

📍 Address: 12805 US-98 W, Inlet Beach, FL 32461
🏢 Location: Inside the 30Avenue shopping center

Directions:

  • Head to the 30Avenue shopping center, located directly off US Highway 98 in Inlet Beach, across the street from Highway 30A.
  • Once you arrive, look for the central courtyard area with palm trees and fountains in the center of the complex.
  • Continue driving straight to the back of the complex.
  • The Ohana Institute is located in the rear-center of the complex.
  • Look for signage that says “Ohana Institute” near the glass-fronted offices.

🅿️ Parking: Free parking is available throughout the 30Avenue lot.

Financial Essentials, Investing, and Planning for Retirement and Beyond!
3 Zoom Sessions - Mondays, March 2nd, 9th, and 23rd at 4pm to 5:30pm CST
In this 3-session program, you will learn how to make your money last, basics of investing in today's world, transition to retirement planning, estate planning, and more. Join us for real talk about making money work for you.


Cybersecurity and AI for Adult Learners
2 Zoom Sessions - Mondays, March 2nd and 9th at 5:30pm-7pm CST
This course will introduce students to the concept of cybersecurity for personal devices, internet, email & social media usage.  This course will help the student understand the problem of security in a cyber world, how to mitigate risks, respond to intrusions and be prepared in the event of a disaster.  In this course we will discuss how to protect individual computers and personal networks from cyber-attacks and how to respond should an attack occur. GPT and AI Technology and software will be demonstrated and the use of off-site backups and cloud infrastructure will be detailed.


Wine Tasting and Learning with Chef Marsha
2 In-Person Sessions - Monday, March 30th and April 6th at 5:30pm to 7pm CST

Grapes come in many different varieties, and there are far too many to cover in only two sessions. However, we will learn of the ones that have received the most attention from grape growers, winemakers, and wine consumers from around the world.  During these wine tasting classes, students will taste a selection of the major white grape and red grape varieties, learn where these grapes are grown, and use the wine aroma wheel to identify the flavor profiles and isolate components like alcohol; sugar; oak; tannins; acidity; varietal character; aromas; body; and texture. 


Spanish Language Basics 2 
4 Zoom Sessions - Tuesdays, March 3, 10, 24, & 31 at 10am to 11:30am CST
¡Bienvenidos a español 2! This is a continuation of Spanish 1 that I taught in the fall, however, there will be a nice review, so, if you are familiar with Spanish and some basic present tense, feel free to join! For the spring, we will be learning family members, clothing and shopping terms, household items, and the dreaded, household chores.


Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles
Hybrid Sessions - Tuesdays, March 3rd and 10th at 5:30pm-7pm CST
The Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer organization formed in early 2015. We are dedicated to promoting Sea Turtle conservation through awareness and education. Our objective is to help students and adults understand the obstacles Sea Turtles face and what we can do to help protect our endangered and threatened Sea Turtles.


A Story of Self: The Magic of the Memoir
5 Zoom Sessions - Wednesdays, March 4th, 11th, 25th, April 1st, and 8th from 4pm to 5pm CST
In this limited enrollment course, students will receive semi-private coaching as they craft and refine a short piece of writing. Over five sessions, participants will explore different genres, refresh writing skills, and work to find their own writer’s voice with regular instructor feedback.


Women in Politics: Will we ever have a Woman President?
2 Zoom Sessions - Thursdays, February 26th and March 5th at 5:30pm to 7pm CST
This course will review the role of women's historical involvement in politics, both in the U.S. and internationally. Research from the Center for American Women in Politics at Rutgers University (a leading source of scholarly research and data on women in politics) and other resources will be used as data sources for the presentations.   This topic has been offered as a workshop at both the University of Florida and Florida State University, and participants seem very interested in this discussion.
