Finding ways to help people through Civil Engineering
“Working at the DDS, I help with engineering software and IT stuff, and I’m also a tutor. I get to do this — helping people in general. It’s cool.” — Wiley Vickers
Wiley Vickers, 24, is pursuing his masters in Civil Engineering after earning a bachelors in 2020. Originally from Panama City, he sees his degree program much the same as his activities as a student: finding ways to help people.
“Working at the DDS (Digital Design Studio), I help with engineering software and IT stuff, and I’m also a tutor,” Vickers said. “I get to do this — helping people in general. It’s cool.”
Vickers touts the tools available for students at the DDS, from playing Beat Saber in the Virtual Lab, to making graphic tees with the Cricut machine, creating podcasts and videos, or simply enjoying popcorn on Movie Mondays.
