We’re dedicated to
your service

The Veterans Alliance arrowhead is the proud symbol of Florida State University’s campus-wide commitment to become a national beacon of veteran support and success.

Military students

Whether you are active-duty, veteran or dependent, FSU Panama City is dedicated to your success. Florida State University’s goal is to become a national beacon of veteran support and success. Fostering a community of past, present and future veterans, we raise awareness of military issues among campus and local communities and support student veterans through graduation and into rewarding careers.

FSU Panama City offers additional military and veteran resources such as assistance with educational benefits, additional scholarships, a reserved veteran study room and connections with local agencies for VA work study programs.

NATIONAL RECOGNITION

Florida State University is ranked No. 18 top public university, according to U.S. News & World Report.

20:1 STUDENT-FACULTY RATIO

FSU Panama City offers personal attention for students in the classroom and in student affairs.

ADVANCE YOUR CAREER

Two-thirds of Florida State graduates have one or more job offers by graduation.

Credit for experience

Military training you received that may qualify for college credit is evaluated after the admissions application process has been completed and admission has been granted. The FSU Office of Admissions and the Student Veterans Center will use your Joint Service Transcript (JST) to review credit earned for military experiences, training and coursework. While credits earned for military-related training do not factor into the admissions process, the academic dean for the program you major in may accept some or all of that credit and apply it toward your degree requirements.

Discounted tuition

Federal and state laws extend the in-state tuition rate to honorably discharged veterans, veteran dependents, and members of the National Guard and Reserve, regardless of their state of residency, provided they are living in Florida while they attend FSU (By state law, veteran dependents only qualify for in-state tuition during the time they are using VA educational benefits).

Veterans services

Florida State University Panama City is committed to supporting our student veterans and military dependent students by assisting them in their request for certification of VA educational benefits, earned through their service and sacrifice to our country. Please visit our Student Veterans Center page for further information about VA benefit certification.

Priority Course Registration

All FSU student veterans, active duty members and VA benefit recipients have priority registration for courses following their first semester.
