Housed under FSU Panama City’s Public Safety & Security program, the law enforcement intelligence major integrates analytic and hands-on practical exercises with theoretical principles to provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed in law enforcement, security, intelligence or investigations. A broad range of coursework available online and in-person focuses on the criminal justice system, ethics in intelligence, crime mapping and using computers and technology intelligence.

Students can further tailor their education with a certificate in underwater crime scene investigation, and graduates can further advance their career with a master’s level graduate certificate or master’s degree in law enforcement intelligence.

"US News  reports the FSU "online bachelor’s programs" took the greatest leap in the rankings, reaching No. 34, up from No. 161 last year. Online undergraduate degree programs include computer science, criminology, social science, and public safety and security."

Through on-campus and online coursework and a real-world capstone project, the program prepares graduates to plan and carry out intelligence and surveillance operations in dynamic security settings at the federal, state and local level.
