FSU PC to welcome annual Walk & Roll event to campus

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Florida State University Panama City will again host the annual Walk & Roll event to raise awareness and funds to benefit those living with Spina Bifida and Congenital Muscular Dystrophy.

This free, family-friendly and inclusive community event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, on the lawn behind the Holley Academic Center, 4750 Collegiate Drive. Highlights will include a half-mile fun walk, live music, pumpkin decorating, face painting, silent auction and local vendors.

In addition, a portion of proceeds raised through donations will go toward local inclusion and accessibility projects in Panama City, to improve accessible public parks so every family can play, explore and thrive together, regardless of their mobility challenges. Spina Bifida is a type of birth defect in which the spine and spinal cord do not form correctly in the womb, leaving a gap in the backbone. Congenital muscular dystrophy is a group of inherited genetic disorders causing low muscle tone, progressive muscle weakness, and joint tightness present at birth or in early infancy.
