Pilot program encourages underserved students to pursue careers in science, technology
About 90 area ninth- and 10th-grade students participated this week in the STEM Institute’s summer camps at FSU Panama City. Last week, more than 100 seventh and eighth graders attended the camp, which rotates through 50-minute sessions focused on marine life, robotics, chemistry, 3D printing and electronics.
Florida State University Panama City hosted a Forensic Fun Day 2016 STEM Camp for rising 7th Graders this June. The course offered hands on experience with both the land based Crime Scene Investigation and Underwater Crime Scene Investigation programs in the College of Applied Studies at the FSU Panama City campus.
