Preprofessional Health Curriculum

Though there is no universal standard for the courses required for medical school admission. Florida State University offers guidelines for typical courses that students should consider.

GENERAL PRE-MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS* 

  • English: 6 Semester Hours
  • General Biology (for Science Majors with lab): 8 Semester Hours
  • General Chemistry (with lab): 8 Semester Hours
  • Organic Chemistry (with lab): 8 Semester Hours
  • General Physics (with lab): 8 Semester Hours
  • Mathematics: 6 Semester Hours
