I serve as the Director of FSU Pre-Collegiate Programs, overseeing the federally funded TRIO Educational Talent Search Program and the Community Human Service Partnership (CHSP) Program. Our team collaborates to expand educational opportunities and support the academic and personal development of middle and high school students in Northwest Florida.
With over two decades in education, including roles as a teacher, reading coach, dean, and assistant director within TRIO programs, I believe students excel when given meaningful opportunities, mentorship, and necessary resources. As a first-generation college graduate, I understand the transformative power of education and the importance of guiding students and families through pathways to college and careers.
Our goal at FSU Pre-Collegiate Programs is to do more than prepare students for graduation. We aim to expose them to possibilities, develop their confidence and leadership skills, and provide academic enrichment and exploration of college and careers. I hold degrees in education and educational leadership from St. Thomas University and Florida A&M University, and I am currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy at Florida State University. My commitment is rooted in the belief that every student deserves the chance to discover their path and realize their potential. Through partnerships with families, schools, and community organizations, we strive to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their future endeavors.
