Apply to be a Peer Tutor at FSU Panama City

Peer tutors must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this paid OPS position. 

  • Be a current FSU PC undergraduate or graduate student 
  • Must have been enrolled as an FSU degree seeking student for at least one semester 
  • Must have completed at least one full semester as an FSU Degree seeking student 
  • Have earned an overall/cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on all college-level coursework completed, not just your FSU GPA)
  • Have an academic record free of any past or pending Academic Honor Policy and Behavior Conduct Violations 
  • Earned at least a B+ or higher in the course(s) you wish to tutor

Process to Apply To Be A Tutor

  • Complete an online application
  • Upload a Personal Statement (300 word limit explaining why you wish to become a peer tutor) with your application 
  • Instructor Recommendation Form: complete the top portion of the form and send to FSU PC course instructor for the course you wish to tutor in. Please note, forms must be submitted by an FSU PC instructor. An "instructor" is defined as a faculty or graduate level instructor with primary teaching responsibilities in the course you have completed. If you did not take the course at FSU PC, please contact studentsuccess@pc.fsu.edu for more information on who can complete the recommendation form. Instructors may submit one form for multiple courses. Forms must be sent directly to The Chapman Center from the instructor.

Once all required materials (application, personal statement, and all recommendation forms) have been received, you will receive an update on your application via email.
