FSU PC CAREER & INTERNSHIP FAIR PREPARES STUDENTS FOR JOBS
The FSU Panama City Career & Internship Fair will bring employers from across northwest Florida to campus on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The event is designed to demonstrate FSU PC's commitment to supporting students as they transition from college to careers.
“Bay County and the surrounding areas are experiencing significant economic growth in a wide range of industries, while also welcoming new industries to our area,” said Jim Allen, director of Academic and Registrar Services for FSU Panama City. “This means that those businesses will need additional staff and qualified talent, and FSU Panama City and Gulf Coast State College are great resources to help build pipelines of talent into those businesses.”
The Career & Internship Fair will be from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 16, in the Holley Academic Center’s St. Joe Community Foundation Lecture Hall, 4750 Collegiate Drive, Panama City.
“This is a great way for local employers currently hiring for available positions — or planning to hire for future positions — to connect with both FSU Panama City and GCSC students, alumni and community members seeking part-time or full-time jobs and internships,” Allen said. “Participating in the FSU Panama City Career & Internships is also a great way for a company to broaden awareness of its business across both college campuses, increasing the potential for future hiring of talented professionals.”
Employers are still signing up to meet FSU PC and GCSC students and alumni and will be actively recruiting for jobs and internship opportunities. Employers that wish to participate may contact Jim Allen at jwallen@fsu.edu or call 850-770-2161 for instructions on registering for this career fair.
“We currently have about 10 spots remaining for employers to sign up for. Employers must register using NoleNetwork, FSU’s jobs/internship database,” Allen said.
An overview of each employer registered for the event may be found in NoleNetwork. Students may log in using FSU credentials to learn more about each employer.
