Govinda Pageni joined the Department of Mathematics at Florida State University Panama City as a teaching faculty member in August 2022. Before joining FSU Panama City, he has worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He has a huge passion for teaching and enjoy teaching Math. He has always revered teaching as a profession and taught undergraduate mathematics courses in various colleges in Nepal for five years. He received his B.A. and M.S. in Mathematics from Tribhuvan University in 2007 and 2012. He also received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette under the supervision of Professor Aghalaya S. Vatsala in 2018 and 2022, respectively. His hands-on experience includes ten years of teaching experience that encompasses substantial student diversity, including high school and college/university students, before joining Florida State University Panama City.
His primary research is in the field of differential equations with fractional order with the concentration in a system of fractional differential equations via the Laplace Transform method, and he is using this emerging branch to study the epidemiological models of infectious diseases with fractional derivative.
