The community is invited to attend this free celebration. Meet Shirley and Bernard Kinsey of the nationally recognized Kinsey African American Art & History Collection. Their collection celebrates African Americans' accomplishments through paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, rare books and documents dating from 1595 to the present day. The Florida Department of Education has adopted the Kinsey Collection as the basis of instruction of 3.6 million students on African American History, providing the narrative for contributions that had been omitted.
