FSU Panama City Black Student Union to host Bay County Entrepreneur Empowerment Summit
The FSU Panama City’s Black Student Union hopes to empower people to bring their business ideas to reality during the Bay County Entrepreneur Empowerment Summit. The event will be Feb. 26-27 at FSU Panama City.
The event will kick off noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, with a luncheon featuring keynote speaker Dr. Melvin T. Stith, the former dean of FSU’s College of Business. Sponsorships are $100 with seating for two, $200 for four, $300 for six and $400 for eight.
The event will continue from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, with 90-minute breakout sessions throughout the day. Area business leaders and community representatives will join for interactive panel discussions on entrepreneurship; community resources; financial funding; networking, advertising and social media; and crowdfunding. Entry fees for the first 400 participants in breakout sessions have been paid for by local sponsors.
