2014 Domestic Violence Seminar

Erica Martin

Empowering Those Impacted by Domestic Violence

October 4th, 2014

Domestic Violence affects 1 in 4 women in the Bay County. The key to putting an end to this shocking statistic is twofold: (1) we must partner with victims to move them from a state of victimization to a place of empowerment and survivorship and (2) we must consistently hold the offender accountable.

The purpose of this seminar is to partner victims with community resources and services that can provide concrete solutions to bridge the gap between being a person that is a victim of domestic to someone that is a survivor of domestic violence.

Become empowered; the most common way to give up power is by thinking you don’t have any
