Legendary Coach Bobby Bowden to join 24th Annual FSU Panama City Golf Tournament
Florida State University Panama City along with tournament sponsors AT&T and Centennial Bank will host the 24th Annual FSU Panama City Golf Tournament on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach. The legendary Coach Bobby Bowden, who has golfed in more than 20 past tournaments, will participate as the celebrity golfer again this year.
About 145 golfers will play to support FSU Panama City on Friday, and 30 local businesses and organizations have stepped up to support the tournament through various sponsorships.
The tournament also will include the inaugural FSU Panama City Golf Ball Drop, sponsored by Tyndall Federal Credit Union. Between tournament rounds, numbered golf balls will be dropped on a green with 10 holes, representing 10 prize packages. The first ball to go in each hole will win the coordinating prize, such as $1,500 cash, theme park tickets and staycations. Golf balls will be sold until the tournament for $10 each.
Proceeds from the tournament and golf ball drop will benefit the FSU Panama City Campus Enrichment Fund, which is used to support students and the priorities of the campus.
