Tyndall Federal Credit Union presented a check for $10,000 to the Florida State University Foundation for FSU Panama City on Thursday, Jan. 16, as part of its Community Service Grant Program.

The grant supports student scholarships and research by faculty and students, in addition to alumni and community engagement activities.

“Tyndall Federal Credit Union has been a great partner to FSU PC for many years,” said Dean Randy Hanna. “We are so grateful for their continued support of our students and programs. This grant goes a long way to helping us fulfill our promise.”

As part of its mission, Tyndall FCU makes it a priority to support community non-profit organizations with an emphasis in education, military and health and human services. Tyndall also awarded a Community Service Grant of $10,000 to FSU PC in 2023 and 2024.

“We love the opportunity to share what Florida State University Panama City does in our community and how we are partnering together,” said Charlotte Schwoerer, marketing assistant for Tyndall FCU, when presenting the 2024 grant. She added that Tyndall was happy to help the university, including offering volunteers to staff events and activities.

“Our mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our members,” Schwoerer said. “That doesn’t mean just being their financial institution, but also supporting the communities they live and work in.”
