FSU PC INVITES PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS TO DISCOVERY DAY BY THE BAY

Florida State University Panama City is inviting prospective students and their families to visit for Discovery Day by the Bay beginning at 8 a.m. on Nov. 2. The event is an opportunity for students, families and other guests to learn more about the FSU PC experience.

Faculty, staff and student volunteers will be on hand to assist visitors in learning about academic programs and discovering the campus's unique student engagement opportunities. Visitors will experience "hands-on" demonstrations, learn about the Digital Design Studio and esports, and have an opportunity to tour Seminole Landing, the on-campus residential hall. A free lunch will be provided to all who pre-register.

Guests may park anywhere on campus at no cost. Check-in is at the Holley Academic Center, 4750 Collegiate Drive in Panama City.

The agenda will include a greeting from members of the Dean’s Office, a presentation by the Admissions staff, information on programs including Civil Engineering, Underwater Crime Scene Investigation, Electrical Engineering, Esports, Mechanical Engineering, and the Digital Design Studio.

In addition, Admissions will have in-person information sessions for freshmen interested in engineering programs on Nov. 13 at 5 p.m.; and for local high school seniors and their parents on Nov. 18 at 7:30 a.m. The engineering “Dine and Discover” event will include presentations from the Electrical, Civil and Mechanical engineering programs, while the “Local Senior Breakfast” will cover information on admission applications, essays, scholarships and financial aid.
