Students in instructor Joy Saddler’s LEI 3312 (Introduction to Special Events) gain valuable experiential learning opportunities by producing an event plan that includes marketing, public relations, budgeting, sponsorships and evaluation.

This semester students will be producing the FSU Panama City Tailgate Kickoff Party in conjunction with the FSU Panama City Student Government Council on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. The event will be held in front of the Holley Academic Center from 5 – 7 p.m.

“Students will be able to implement the five-stage strategic plan covering research, design, planning, coordination and evaluation of an event from inception to completion,” said Saddler.

This year’s kickoff will include a corn hole tournament, tailgate games, FSU Football video clips, a Fire Dancer, door prizes and much more. It is open to FSU and Commodore Alliance faculty, staff and students.

LEI 3312 is one of four required courses in the special events certificate program offered by FSU Panama City.
