Attendees will learn the latest techniques in administering opioid-free anesthesia from pioneers in the field who will highlight cutting-edge research and answer questions. Additionally, attendees will be able to engage with exhibitors who support initiatives of SOFA.

“We are proud to host SOFA on our campus and be able to showcase FSU PC and Panama City to visitors from across the country,” said Stacey VanDyke, DNP, CRNA, Program Director for the FSU Nurse Anesthesia Program. “This is an excellent opportunity for our students to network with industry leaders and learn innovative anesthesia techniques from leading experts.

SOFA is an international organization with more than 2,000 members. The organization is dedicated to promoting opioid free anesthesia, which is a safer option for anesthesia administration that maximizes a patient’s respiratory ability and aggressively treats their pain, while eliminating the unwanted side effects of opioids.

The Congress is open to students and medical practitioners including Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and anesthesiologists. To register for the event or for more information about the Congress go to https://goopioidfree.com/opioid-free-anesthesia-congress-2023/.
