SGC to host Homecoming activities Oct. 10-14

FSU Panama City’s Student Government Council will host Homecoming events at the Panama City campus Oct. 10-14. Scheduled events include:

Monday, Oct. 10

  • Spear-it Day: Car chalking will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Holley Driveway. Free Firehouse subs will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and cupcakes will be served 1-2 p.m.
  • Scavenger hunt: 7-11 p.m. throughout campus. The tickets to the Homecoming game will be hidden around campus. Clues will be given every 30 minutes. Participants must be able to download Group Me app.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

  • Nole-lympics: Enjoy outdoor games from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. behind the Holley Academic Center. Homecoming game tickets will be given to winners of partner relay beginning at noon. Free Tropical Smoothie will be served.
  • SHARC Shrimp Boil: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Behind Holley Academic Center

Wednesday, Oct. 12

  • Food eating contest: Hamburger eating contest will be at 11 a.m. Chubby Bunny will be at noon, and ice cream eating will be at 1 p.m. Free Chick-fil-A will be served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sign ups for the food eating contest will be Oct. 3-7. All events held inside the Holley Rotunda. Winners will receive tickets to the Homecoming game.
  • Powder Puff Football: The women take the field at 4 p.m. near the FSU volleyball courts with male cheerleaders on the sidelines.

Thursday, Oct. 13

  • Free breakfast: Enjoy free food from Waffle House 8-11 a.m. in the Holley Rotunda
  • Lan Ping Pong Tournament: 5-10 p.m. with free pizza in the Barron Commons. Sign ups for ping pong tournament begin at 8 p.m. Tournament begins at 8:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 14

  • Nole Fest: The Seminole community is invited to celebrate Florida State’s Homecoming during FSU Panama City’s Nole Fest 6-9 p.m. The event will include a block party, carnival games and food trucks. A bonfire will be lit at 7 p.m., and fireworks will conclude the event at 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. For other information, email or call 770-2193.
