PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Florida State University Panama City invites community members to participate in a free Leadership Workshop series focusing on business communication and productivity in July.

Presented by the university’s Center for Organizational Excellence and Innovation and its Business Administration Program, the sessions are designed to help participants “Perform at Your Peak.”

I have carefully designed the workshops to be engaging and enjoyable for attendees at every level,” said Dr. Eren Ozgen, Ph.D., teaching professor of Management, who will conduct the sessions.

The first workshop, Effective Communication for Success, will be on July 6; Motivate to Elevate will be on July 13; and Strategies for Personal Productivity will be on July 27. All workshops will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Holley Academic Center, Room B209, 4750 Collegiate Drive, Panama City.

Dr. Ozgen said the Effective Communication workshop will focus on “explaining things clearly, active listening, asking questions, practicing empathy and transparency through your verbal and non-verbal cues.” Motivate to Elevate will cover “mastering goal setting, sparking the driving forces within you, empowering your potential and optimizing job design." And Personal Productivity will emphasize strategies for self-management and time management.

Dr. Ozgen, coordinator of both programs, emphasized the Organizational Excellence and Innovation Center’s dedication to empowering community and business members through education, while the Business Administration Program actively engages with agencies to address local and regional needs.
