FSU Panama City will honor the fall 2016 graduates, including the first cohort of students from the master’s nurse anesthesia program, during the Dean’s Toast 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, in the Holley Lecture Hall.

During the event, awards will be presented to nurse anesthesia graduates and veterans will be recognized with red, white and blue honor cords to be worn during graduation and FSU Military Veteran Challenge Coins.

The event will conclude with a Champagne or sparkling cider toast to graduates, who will receive complimentary FSU Champagne glasses. The free event also will include music and hors d ’oeuvres for graduates and guests.

The nurse anesthesia program welcomed its first cohort of 24 master’s students in fall 2015. After completing the rigorous 28-month program, graduates must pass the national certification exam to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). CRNAs provide anesthesia in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, podiatrists and other qualified healthcare professionals.
