Human rights attorney and Rutgers University professor Noura Erakat speaks at FSU PC

On Sept. 23, 2022, FSU Panama City will continue to “shed light on diversity” through its Illumination series featuring human rights attorney and Rutgers University professor Noura Erakat.

Erakat teaches at Rutgers University, New Brunswick in the Department of Africana Studies and the Program in Criminal Justice. She is an award-winning author and co-founding editor of “Jadaliyya,” an electronic magazine on the Middle East.

Erakat serves on the boards of the Institute for Policy Studies, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, and Arab Studies Institute; and she is a policy advisor to Al Shabaka. She also serves on the Editorial Committee of the Journal for Palestine Studies, and she is a founding board member of the DC Palestinian Film and Arts Festival.
