Law Enforcement Operations

Housed under FSU Panama City’s Public Safety & Security program, the law enforcement intelligence major integrates analytic and hands-on practical exercises with theoretical principles to provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed in law enforcement, security, intelligence or investigations. A broad range of coursework available online and in-person focuses on the criminal justice system, ethics, interview and interrogation techniques, understanding drug culture, homeland security issues and using technology in investigations.

Students can further tailor their education with a certificate in underwater crime scene investigation, and graduates can further advance their career with a master’s level with a graduate certificateor master’s degree in law enforcement intelligence.

Through on-campus and online coursework and a real-world capstone project, the program prepares graduates to plan and carry out intelligence and surveillance operations in dynamic security settings at the federal, state and local level.
