Events class to host 'Spear It Day'

The Florida State University Panama City Recreation, Tourism and Events special events class will host “Spear It Day” with food, games, local vendors and live music in conjunction with SGC’s Spring Fling from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Holley Amphitheater.

Alumnus to discuss importance of adventure, travel during ‘From Panama City to Pakistan’

FSU Panama City alumnus Pope Thrower, who is the press attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam, will present “From Panama City to Pakistan (and a few places in between): The importance of adventure and travel for future careers” during a Nole Talk at noon Sept. 29, in Holley B212.

Summer camps bring STEM education to life

About 90 area ninth- and 10th-grade students participated this week in the STEM Institute’s summer camps at FSU Panama City. Last week, more than 100 seventh and eighth graders attended the camp, which rotates through 50-minute sessions focused on marine life, robotics, chemistry, 3D printing and electronics.

Forensic Fun Day 2016 STEM Camp

Florida State University Panama City hosted a Forensic Fun Day 2016 STEM Camp for rising 7th Graders this June. The course offered hands on experience with both the land based Crime Scene Investigation and Underwater Crime Scene Investigation programs in the College of Applied Studies at the FSU Panama City campus.
