Seminole Sensation welcomes spring students

FSU Panama City will welcome new and returning Seminoles to campus with games, activities and giveaways the first two weeks of the spring semester.

Scheduled events include:

Daily

  • Hot cocoa: 8 a.m. until in the Holley Rotunda
  • Tailgating games: all day in the Holley Academic Center
  • Wii, Ping pong and foosball: all day in the Barron Commons

Wednesday, Jan. 7

  • Speed Friending: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Barron Commons. Free snacks will be provided.
  • Project Runway craft night: 5-6:30 p.m. in Bayside room 115. Learn to make pajama pants. Bring fabric of your choice.

Thursday, Jan. 8

  • Nole Talk: 11 a.m. to noon in Donna’s Deli. English and drama instructor Dr. Milinda Stephenson presenting. Hot dogs from Donna’s Deli will be served until 2 p.m.
  • Board Game Night: 5-7 p.m. in Donna’s Deli.

Monday, Jan. 12

  • Club Rush Day: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Holley Rotunda. Learn about the Student Government Council, registered student organizations and student resources. Free pizza will be served.

Tuesday, Jan. 13

  • Free Waffle House Biscuits: 8 a.m. until in the Holley Rotunda
  • Speed Friending: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Barron Commons. Free snacks will be provided.

Wednesday, Jan. 14

  • Free pizza: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Barron Commons
  • Humans vs. Zombies: all day throughout campus. Main mission station will be set up behind the Holley Academic Center by the amphitheater.
  • Cooking Club: 5-6 p.m. in the Holley Kitchen. Learn to cook and enjoy your culinary creation. Membership requires an annual $5 fee.

Thursday, Jan. 15

  • Free Tom’s Hot Dogs: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Barron Commons
  • LAN Party: 7:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Barron Commons. Gamers can win prizes and trophies in this bracket-style tournament from 7:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the Barron Commons. TVs, monitors and select games will be provided. Players should bring additional consoles, games and controllers. Free snacks will be provided.
