FSU Panama City to host international public safety diver conference
The International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists (IADRS) will hold its annual conference from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 20-23 at Florida State University Panama City’s Holley Academic Center Lecture Hall. The four-day conference will feature presenters and exhibitors from dive rescue teams across the United States, Canada and abroad who specialize in water rescue and recovery.
This technical rescue conference is designed to educate public safety agencies and volunteer departments in their response to water-related incidents and/or emergencies. Current methods, procedures and equipment that will ensure safe and successful operations will be presented.
Established in 1979, the International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists is a non-profit, professional association comprised of water rescue personnel with members in all 50 states and worldwide.
