Crowd Manager Training offered Oct. 28

Erica Martin

The FSU Panama City Graduate Certificate in Event Management Program in conjunction with the Florida Festivals and Events Association and the Florida Recreation and Park Association will host Crowd Manager Training 1-5 p.m. Oct. 28 at the FSU Panama City Bayside Auditorium.

The Florida Fire Prevention Code requires that all places of assembly must have at least one crowd manager or crowd manager supervisor. Where occupant loads exceed 250, additional crowd managers/supervisors may be required at the ratio of one crowd manager/supervisor for every 250 occupants (NFPA 101, Section 12.7.6). The Fire Marshal’s Office will issue violations to assembly occupancies without trained crowd managers.

Event Managers LLC will conduct the required training class for owners, operators and crowd managers of places of assembly including stadiums, outdoor events, festivals, nightclubs, lounges, etc.

The training costs $50 per person, and pre-registration is required. It is approved for 0.4 FRPA CEUs.

To register, email your organization’s name along with attendees’ names, phone numbers and email addresses to eventmanagersllc@gmail.com. To pay by credit card, call (772) 260-9026. Checks made payable to “Event Managers LLC” may be mailed to 3108 S.E. 21st Court, Okeechobee, FL 34974-6331.
