Area Homeland Security agent to discuss ‘Organized Retail Crime and Terrorist Financing’

Scott Springer, the resident agent in charge of Homeland Security, will present “Black Market Terrorism: Organized Retail Crime and Terrorist Financing” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at FSU Panama City’s Bayside Auditorium.

Springer will present a case study to demonstrate how foreign terrorism is being funded by American crime. During the investigation that brought Springer three death threats, suspects funded overseas terrorist activities through the sale of stole medicinal products and infant formula.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call Casey Lathem at 770-2168 or email clathem@pc.fsu.edu.
