About Me

  • Hometown:  Born in Chicago, IL; grew up in Brooksville, FL; raised my two boys and received my college education and worked at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL; and am now enjoying working at the beautiful FSU PC campus while living at the beach where I call home in Panama City Beach, FL.
  • Why I Love FSU PC:  It offers an exceptional education and experience you would expect from a large campus, while being a small tight knit community in a family environment of students, staff, faculty, and administration.
  • Favorite Spot on Campus:  The beautiful view at sunset on the water with the lights illuminating the Hathaway Bridge across St. Andrews Bay.
  • Hobbies:  Listening to music and attending concerts of all types, spending time on or near the water, watching movies and documentaries about history and true stories, playing and watching sports, creating homemade crafts, and visiting family and friends.
  • Favorite Phrase:  “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift.  That’s why they call it the present.”
  • Quote:  “We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean.  But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.” - Mother Teresa

Sarah has been a student and employee at Florida State University at both the Panama City and Tallahassee campuses.  She serves as a primary point of contact for students and visitors to the Chapman Center for Academic Advising & Student Success.  She plays an essential role in referring students to the various resources within our center, on our campus, and within the university.  Sarah’s role also serves to assist students with the enrollment process, including course registration, data management, and outreach to both enrolled and non-enrolled students.

As a lifelong Seminole, Sarah moved to Tallahassee to attend FSU where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and a Master’s Degree in Education - Curriculum and Instruction.  She has experience working at FSU previously in the Department of Education and the Office of Graduate Studies, has her Florida Teaching Certificate, has been a teacher and tutor, and an Instructional Specialist for ESE students. Now that her two sons, Preston and Braden, are attending FSU in Tallahassee, Sarah has moved to join us here at FSU Panama City to continue her professional career and enjoy the white sand and blue waters near our beautiful campus.
