Dr. Jordan earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of West Florida and his doctorate in accounting from Louisiana Tech University. He has taught accounting at the collegiate level for well over thirty years and holds Professor Emeritus status at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he taught for 25 years before retiring and moving to Panama City. Dr. Jordan is a CPA, and prior to teaching, he achieved his professional experience in public accounting working for a major CPA firm. Also prior to teaching, he gained managerial experience in the manufacturing sector (i.e., textile industry). During his academic career, Dr. Jordan has won seven college-wide teaching awards and numerous research and service awards. He has published approximately 120 articles in various professional and academic journals, such as The CPA Journal, Journal of Accountancy, Journal of Forensic & Investigative Accounting, Journal of Corporate Accounting & Finance, Business Ethics Quarterly, Accounting Educators’ Journal, Journal of Education for Business, etc.
