Who can join?
Students who are majoring or minoring in Crime Scene Investigation or those pre-CSI or undecided students who are enthusiastic about a field of study where science meets the legal system (forensics) are invited to join the CSI LC.
Do I have to live in Seminole Landing to join?
No, the CSI LC will accept up to 20 students maximum for the Fall 2021/Spring 2022 term based on the priorities listed below. If more than 20 students join, a waitlist will be created.
- First priority: Students, in order of CSI LC application, living in residential housing on the FSU PC campus who have declared CSI as their major are given first priority.
- Second: Students, in order of CSI LC application, living in residential housing on FSU PC campus who have declared the Pre CSI major (usually those with less than 60 credit hours) or have declared CSI as a minor.
- Third: Students, in order of CSI LC application, living in residential housing on FSU PC campus who are undecided but interested in the CSI program and those face-to-face FSU PC students (living in the local area) who are majoring, minoring, pre-CSI or undecided but interested in the CSI program.
What is the cost?
There is no cost to join, and all activities are included at no charge.
When is the community active?
The CSI LC will be active during the fall 2021 and spring 2022 terms. There are no summer activities planned.
A community is only as strong as its members, so member involvement is required. Students who would like to join will need to fill out the CSI LC Application, the CSI LC Contract, and the Agreement to Participate. CSI LC Faculty/Staff will contact students by email with confirmation of membership.
Please contact our CSI LC Faculty Representative, Charla Perdue at email@example.com or call( 850) 770-2207.
