The Dean’s Council shall serve the Dean of Florida State University Panama City by:

• providing counsel on issues raised by the Dean or issues identified by the Council;
• undertaking projects that will benefit FSU Panama City, as identified by the Dean or by the Council with the approval of the Dean;
• serving as an ambassador of the campus, communicating important messages from the Dean to the community as needed;
• acting as a sounding board or research arm of the Dean on issues of interest to the Dean;
• identifying and driving opportunities for the Dean to engage in community organizations and events for the benefit of FSU Panama City;
• assisting the Dean in making and maintaining contacts with the local community;
• assisting the Dean in identifying, cultivating and/or soliciting major gifts ($25,000 and above)
