FSU Panama City professor named 2022 Social Work Educator of the Year

Florida State University Panama City faculty member Denise Montford, ACSW, LCSW, has been named the 2022 Social Work Educator of the Year by the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-FL).

Montford will be recognized during a ceremony at NASW-FL’s annual conference in Orlando on Thursday, June 9. NASW-FL established the statewide award to honor an exceptional educator who has demonstrated dedication to students and education, in addition to advancing the profession through research.

Dean Randy Hanna will be honoring Bay county community leaders

Dean Randy Hanna will be honoring Bay county community leaders Jimmy Patronis and Jerry Smithwick and presenting scholarships to the seven siblings adopted by the Olds family of Marianna during a faculty/staff symposium to be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 17 in the Holley Academic Center lectureship. Also in attendance will be FSU Provost, Sally McRorie.
