About Us

The College of Engineering is jointly managed by Florida State University and Florida A & M University.

Full-time daytime courses are offered by full-time resident faculty and through interactive television and web-based distance learning. The Florida State University Panama City Electrical and Computer Engineering program offers two majors (in Electrical or Computer) leading to the Bachelor of Science. The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. The public can view ABET program educational objectives and student outcomes for this degree program at http://www.eng.fsu.edu/ece/department/ee-accred-info.html. The ECE program provides all required courses in a face-to-face instructional environment utilizing the state-of-the-art laboratories, classrooms and educational facilities available at FSU Panama City. The ECE program at FSU Panama City is designed with the students' success in mind. With class sizes averaging fewer than 12, students benefit from a personal teaching environment and individual attention. Both full and part time schedules are available. A faculty adviser will work with students to create a program of study that meets each student's unique needs. A Master's degree program is also offered. The electrical engineering major is a broad-based program emphasizing all aspects of the profession's practice, including Circuits, Controls, Digital Communications, Electromagnetic Fields, and Power Systems.

Numerous scholarships and other forms of financial aids are available to ECE students. Recent studies indicate electrical and computer engineering are the best paying undergraduate majors in the United States. Local and National Opportunity, growth, and security are excellent . Average starting salary for our ECE graduates typically is around $55k. Choose Florida State University Panama City for a nationally recognized degree in this high demand field of study.
