FSU Panama City will host a R.A.D. (Rape. Aggression. Defense.) course this summer

FSU Panama City will host a R.A.D. (Rape. Aggression. Defense.) course this summer to arm women with self-defense skills and techniques.

The free 12-hour course for women begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. The program is dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense/martial arts tactics

Classes will be Fridays beginning 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 13 in the Holley Lecture Hall. The course will continue May 20 and May 27.

Courses are taught by certified R.A.D. instructors and provide participants with a workbook/reference manual for reference and continuous personal growth.

Women of FSU Panama City, Gulf Coast State College and the northwest Florida community are welcome to join.
