Graduates of Florida State University Panama City will celebrate the completion of their educational journey at the annual fall convocation ceremony Sunday, December 16.  The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. and will be held in the St. Joe Community Foundation Lecture Hall in the FSU Panama City Holley Academic Center.

Florida State University Panama City Electrical Engineering students will present their senior design projects utilizing state of the industry technology in the FSU Panama City Holley Academic Center Lecture Hall on Thursday, December 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The presentations will highlight undergraduate course and capstone projects.

A ceremony to announce the establishment of the Florida State University Early Childhood Autism Program Clinic (FSU ECAP) at FSU Panama City will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. CST.   The event will be held at the FSU ECAP Clinic, which is located on the first floor of the Technology Building in Room B-128.

Florida State University Panama City will honor its graduates at a commencement ceremony Sunday, April 29, at 1:30 p.m. CDT at the Marina Civic Center in Panama City, Fla. A total of 420 degrees will be awarded during the 2011 - 2012 academic year (366 bachelor’s degrees and 54 master’s degrees). Approximately 225 of these graduates will participate in the April 29 ceremony.

On Monday, April 23, at 12:45 p.m., in the Holley Academic Center Lecture Hall, the George A. Butchikas Autism Foundation will make a $40,000 contribution to support the at Florida State University Panama City.  The Butchikas Autism Foundation joins others across the United States in celebrating National Autism Awareness Month which began April 1.

Recent estimates reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2012) suggest that one in every 88 children in the United States is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). During National Autism Awareness Month in April, Florida State University Panama City (FSU Panama City) students and faculty are seeking to raise awareness and funds to assist Bay County families affected by autism.

Florida State University Panama City is offering a Mosquito Control Workshop, March 20-22, 2012, at the Florida State University Holley Academic Center. This workshop provides mosquito, environmental health, and pest control professionals with unique training to earn State Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
